WELCOME

Porsches in Shenandoah Valley The Shenandoah Region of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) is dedicated to enjoying Porsche cars in central Virginia. While Porsches are the common element, our members provide the club with variety and enthusiasm. We organize scenic driving tours, run six autocrosses each year, and take part in high-performance driver's education (DE) events at the Virginia International Raceway and other tracks. Our premier event is the Richmond Porsche Meet (RPM), a June weekend including a concours, lunch, driving tour, tech session, banquet, and an autocross at the Southside Speedway. We also hold a Christmas party and several other social meetings annually.

Nonmembers are welcome to participate in a social meeting, a driving tour, or an autocross. Learn more about the Shenandoah Region PCA and our upcoming events, the PCA Zone 2 comprising 10 nearby regions, the national PCA, and how to JOIN PCA.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Tech Session at Dorn's Body & Paint:

Dorn's Body and Paint will host a tech session on Saturday, February 24 at 10:30 AM. Dorn's is a factory approved Porsche Repair Center, one of two in Virginia, and the only one in central Virginia. Dorn's is also factory approved for Tesla, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo. These factory certifications require extensive factory training and a great deal of very expensive equipment. The use of aluminum has changed the collision repair business as very few facilities have the capability to work with aluminum. Barry Dorn, the vice president of Dorn's Body and Paint, will provide an in-depth tour of what is involved with returning a high-end vehicle back to a pre-accident condition. Flow Porsche sponsored Dorn's when they secured their factory certification. Flow Porsche, Audi, and Volkswagen collision repairs are sent to Dorn's.

Barry Dorn attends all of the factory certification schools his staff attends. He is very knowledgeable and has hands-on experience.

Dorn's Body and Paint has become a new sponsor with the Shenandoah Region for 2018.

Dorn's will provide snacks, beverages, and lunch during the session. This is a free tech session and the registration will provide the head count for lunch.

Registration is now open at MotorsportReg. Please click here to register by 11:59 PM on February 22.

  • Date: February 24
  • Place: Dorn's Body and Paint, 8190 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111 (map)

Breakfast at Joe's Inn:

The Shenandoah Region PCA and First Settlers Region PCA are now holding joint breakfasts on the second Saturday of each month at 9 AM at Joe's Inn in Bon Air. Merging the SRPCA and FSRPCA breakfasts makes for a larger selection of interesting cars and drivers, better advertising of both club's events, and more practical advice.

  • Date: March 10
  • Place: Joe's Inn
  • Directions: 2616 Buford Road, Bon Air (intersection of Buford Road and Forest Hill Avenue) (map)
  • Start time: 9 AM

Zone 2 DE at VIR:

Join Zone 2 for three fabulous days (March 16–18) on the Full Course at Virginia International Raceway (map). As with past events, Zone 2 plans on having a social Friday night and a dinner on Saturday. Plenty of time to reunite with old friends and bench race with new ones. Don't delay: the event can sell out very quickly.

Registration for PCA members opens January 12 at 10 AM. Registration for non-PCA members opens a week later on January 19.

As if three great days of fabulous track time at VIR aren't enough, PCA Zone 2 hospitality is ready to add to the fun and flavor to what has now become a legendary track weekend. Three full track days, two dinner parties, event gift, games of chance and charity, the opportunity for touring laps all combine to bring you the very best of what a PCA DE weekend represents.

Registration Fees: Drivers: $499, Instructors with one student: $225, Instructors with two students: $125.

Please make sure all your guests are registered and have signed waivers.
