Between 89 and 100 Porsches from nearly ten regions attended a weekend social event that has been affectionately dubbed “P2P” sponsored by the Eastern Buckeye Region. Bill and Marylynn Roe of the EBR hosted the event held in Pinckney Michigan. Friday afternoon about ten Porsches arrived in the quaint village of Pinckney. The afternoon was a time to get to know one another enjoy looking at the cars. A late afternoon thunderstorm offered the opportunity for all to find shelter inside the Blue Martini. Friday evening everyone enjoyed dinner and live musical entertainment and even more wonderful Porsche conversation. Saturday morning cars began to arrive from many regions. By noon the count was 67 and by 2:00 there were 89 cars on hand. Sixty-five cars took part in the Poker Rally, which allowed drivers to enjoy some very nice roads through this picturesque area of Michigan. A special thanks to Glenn Trapp, RSR for an awesome job on the course and for his much appreciated help on this entire event. After the Poker Rally, about 70 Porsches joined in an uninterrupted moving parade, setting what we think was a Michigan state record for the number of Porsches to drive in an uninterrupted parade. Saturday evening more social time in a relaxed atmosphere, and every time we look we saw yet another car arriving.
Due to popular demand we are planning, P2P2 or Porches to Pinckney 2, which
will be bigger and better than it’s predecessor. Share your ideas and
