The 911 E
1969-1973
 


The 911E entered the line-up in 1969 as the middle range model, between the 911T and 911S. The 911E originally had a 2 liter, 140 horsepower engine with Mechanical Fuel Injection. Its compression was 9.1:1. The 2.2 L engine came in 1970 and brought 15 more horsepower with it, now outputting 155 hp at 6,200 rpm.  In 1972 and '73, the 911E recieved the 2.4L. with 165hp, and the 915 transmission.
